I love how everyones concentrating on the size of the wheels. what about the frame design?
its a single pivot with a tiny shock stroke. the ratio's probably higher than 3:1 and on a 9 inch bike that is terrible. I dont care if the bigger wheels roll faster over rough stuff, that shock just isnt going to be able to cope. |

id tell him not to waste money on paint and buy a new shock, that will make the bike look alot smarter!

Suicidedownhiller: its been proven that riding a coaster bike or 'push bike' speeds up the learing process of how to balance on a bicycle. its alot better than shoving a kid on a bike with stabalisers, once theyve got the balance down pedaling comes easy.
these parents are teaching their kid how to ride the right way and doing an awesome job of it. |

why spend so much on heavier cranks.
you can buy an 09 XT crankset with BB and tripple ring for £150 then sell the rings for up to £80 (which is what i did) and then you have cranks and bb for under a hundred quid! with the spare cash you could pay to get them annodized and theyd still be cheaper AND lighter.... |

the frame itself wasnt that heavy considering it has a gear box. it was just the components.
the one i rode had manipoo travis triple intrinsics, quad brakes, crap heavy wheels and stupid tyres. not to mention the cheap diamondback branded finishing kit. its just wasnt a well specced bike. this one looks a bit lighter. probably 46 lol |

the granny ring tabs are the same size as the ones on saints.
i just had to space it out to stop it rubbing on the LG1, but not by much. |

mate that is f*ckin savage.
hope you had insurance, the police in plym did f*ck all to get my bike back. ask your parents if they can claim on house insurance and then pay the excess, will be cheaper than buying a new bike. even so ill keep an eye out! |
